What is an ADHD Coach?
An ADHD coach is a professional with skills and training in Life Coaching and an advanced expertise in ADHD.
How does coaching work?
Together, during the initial strategy session, we will clarify your current challenges and begin to design specific strategies that will work with your brain style, minimize your struggles and help you reach your goals. Following the initial strategy session, we will meet weekly at regular intervals, either in person or by phone. During each 55-minute session, we will have have a conversation about where you continue to struggle and refine your strategies. Between our sessions you will continue to develop new habits, grow and change based on the “coaching field work” that you have agreed to do.
How is coaching paid for?
At this time coaching is considered a personal investment and clients pay for their coaching without the assistance of insurance or other third party reimbursements.
What happens during our sessions?
Mostly this is up to you. Coaching is a process in which I support you in staying focused while you make changes in your life. During our session, you will set the agenda and I will provide the support needed. We will coach around any areas of struggle by defining your obstacles and designing custom strategies so you can finally succeed!
How long does coaching take?
This depends entirely on you and your individual challenges and goals. I ask that my clients consider at least a three-month commitment in order to establish our relationship and for you to experience noticeable progress and change. The longer we work together, the more results you will achieve!
What is the next step?
The next step is to schedule a 15″ complimentary consultation appointment with Laurie. During this time you will be able to discuss one on one with Laurie what you are needing at this time, what challenges you or your family member are experiencing and together determine if, scheduling an ADHD Coaching Strategy and Planning Session with Laurie, might be your next best step.
